71-year-old stabbed to death in Englewood, police say suspect in custody

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating what led to a deadly stabbing on the city's South Side.



The stabbing happened at about 10:17 p.m. on Saturday in the 100-block of West 63rd Street, according to police.

The victim, a 71-year-old man, allegedly got into an argument with an unknown man, police said.

The man then allegedly attacked the victim and started to stab him, police said.



The victim was stabbed in the abdomen. He was rushed to the hospital where he died, according to police.

Police said the suspect was placed into custody.

Chicago police are investigating.
