CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago teenager got to live out her dream being a reporter covering the Democratic National Convention.
Aimee Rodriguez returned from Philadelphia Friday night.

The 17 year old had her trip sponsored by Global Girls Media a non-profit that trains young women for careers in journalism.
"It was crazy, I didn't think it was going to be anything like this, so it only got me more excited about journalism because I was able to see how it actually is in real life," she said.

Rodriguez said the best part of her trip was witnessing the historic moment when Hillary Clinton accepted the presidential nomination.
