The crash occurred at about 12:45 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-88 near Eola Road.
Police said two vehicles were involved in the crash and one of the vehicles caught fire.
Two people were pronounced dead a the scene, police said.

All lanes were closed until reopening at about 5:22 a.m. The crash is under investigation.
