The Festival of Wood & Barrel-Aged Beer, known as FoBAB, returns November 7-8 at Credit Union 1 Arena on the city's West Side, pouring more than 300 rare and barrel-aged beers from over 150 breweries nationwide.
Now in its 23rd year, FoBAB celebrates the craft of aging beer in barrels once used for bourbon, whiskey and wine, creating rich, complex flavors. The event also doubles as the largest fundraiser for the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild.
Festivalgoers can enjoy two tasting sessions, vote for their favorite brews, and even enter raffles for VIP and skip-the-line perks.
"FoBAB is more than a beer festival, it's a showcase of craftsmanship and creativity," said Katie Carrier of the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild.
Tickets are $85 plus fees at fobab.com.
