One contractor has been rescued, but another remained missing Tuesday morning.
The two became trapped inside a storm sewer in the 800-block of Curtiss Street at about 12:50 p.m. during the heavy storms.
The workers were cleaning sewers for the village when rising water swept them into the underground system.
Firefighters rescued one contractor about 200 feet from the point where the crew entered the sewer. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
