DOLTON, Ill. (WLS) -- A homicide investigation is underway in Dolton after a man was shot and killed.
At 12:20 a.m. on Tuesday a medicolegal death investigation team was called to St. Margaret's Hospital in Hammond, Ind. for a gunshot victim, according to the Lake County coroner.

The man, identified as John Doe, was transported to St. Margaret's after he was shot in the 1100 block of Blouin Street in Dolton, Ill.
The victim was pronounced by the Lake County coroner upon their arrival.
