The crash occurred at about 2:57 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the Bishop Ford Freeway.
Police said a motorcycle struck a vehicle and the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
All southbound lanes were closed until reopening shortly before 11 a.m.
