Multiple injured in I-65 crash in Crown Point, Indiana State Police say

CROWN POINT, Ind. (WLS) -- Multiple people were injured in a northwest Indiana crash that shut down Interstate 65 for hours overnight, police said on Sunday morning.

Indiana State Police said the two-vehicle crash happened on I-65 near the U.S. 231 exit in Crown Point.



The interstate was shut down for several hours, but it has since reopened.

Multiple people were transported to local hospitals in unknown conditions.



What led up to the crash was not immediately clear.

Authorities did not immediately provide further information.
