The board passed its budget earlier this week, which does not include a fare increase, layoffs or service cuts.

On Thursday, Metra approved a new budget that does not include a fare hike.

In addition to no fare increases, it also doesn't include any service cuts.
The Metra Board also approved a $515 million capital plan. It continues investments in bridges and stations, plus new and rehabilitated trains.
