OAK PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- Sports are more than just play. They build confidence, connection, resilience and joy.

Disney and ESPN are trying to get all Chicago-area kids in the game this fall with Every Kid Sports.

The Disney Junior Let's Play campaign is offering up grants to offset the high cost of youth sports.

Jen Lada, a sportscaster with ESPN, and Johanna Cousin, who owns JustCause Dance in Oak Park, joined ABC7 Chicago Monday to talk more about it.
