In "Disney Worldbuilders," Academy Award and Emmy-nominated filmmaker Leslie Iwerks takes viewers behind the scenes with candid conversations with Bob Iger, James Cameron, Jon Favreau, Kevin Feige, Jennifer Lee, Pete Docter, Dave Filoni, Jared Bush and Josh D'Amaro.
They share the inspiration, creative breakthroughs and behind-the-scenes moments that helped turn worlds like "Avatar," "Star Wars," the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Pixar, "Frozen" and "Zootopia" into places fans can actually step inside.
Viewers will also get a first look at upcoming lands and attractions coming to Disney destinations across the globe, offering a glimpse into one of the biggest eras of expansion in Disney parks history.
Before arriving on Disney+, "Disney Worldbuilders" will make its world premiere at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on Sunday, August 16, giving attendees the chance to be among the first to experience the film.
For those who don't know, Leslie Iwerks is the granddaughter of Ub Iwerks, Walt Disney's original animator and the co-creator of Mickey Mouse.
"Disney Worldbuilders" premieres August 20 on Disney+.
