Woman who disappeared from Chicago in 1987 identified as remains found in Lake Michigan

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A body found in Lake Michigan in 1988 has now been identified.



Dorothy Glanton, 71, disappeared from Chicago in 1987.

In April 1988, remains were found in Lake Michigan near New Buffalo, but they were never identified, until now.



The DNA Doe Project says it partnered with Michigan State Police, and after a lot of research, they were finally able to identify the remains as Glanton's.
