Suspect shoots 3 men, 1 fatally, during argument in Englewood: police

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A suspect shot three men, one fatally, during an argument on the city's South Side on Friday night, Chicago police said.

Police said the shooting happened in the Englewood neighborhood's 700-block of West 73rd Street around 9:45 p.m.



Three men - 34, 50, and 20 years old - were outside when they began arguing with someone, police said. That person then took out a gun and fired at the victims.

The 34-year-old, shot in the body multiple times, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His name was not immediately released.



The 50-year-old was shot in the back and grazed in the arm, and the 20-year-old was shot in the leg. They self-transported to the same hospital, where they are listed in fair condition.

No other injuries were reported.

Area One detectives are investigating. Authorities did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
