It's 2026, and we now live in a world where many of the giants from the Civil Rights movement have passed away. From Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and John Lewis, to Fanny Lou Haymer and Rosa Parks, just to name a few.
Now, Chicago and the world are saying goodbye to yet another icon, the Reverend Jesse Louis Jackson Sr., one of the last living fathers of the movement.
Jackson died February 17 after a health battle.
ABC7 is remembering how he impacted millions through his words and his actions.
