Fashionistas line up outside H&Ms for Balmain x debut

Thursday, November 5, 2015
SAN FRANCISCO -- There are huge lines this morning outside the H&M clothing store in downtown San Francisco for a new line being unveiled Thursday morning featuring a popular designer.

Designer Pierre Balmain is typically known for dressing celebrities at sky high prices, but he has now come up with a collection that is more affordable for the masses. Some of the items will go on sale for more than $500, but there will be several items on sale for $100 or less.

The woman at the front of the line arrived at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.

"The Kardashians wear it, a lot of celebrities wear it, and he is a really famous designer of high-end clothes," said Shannon Johnson, Tracy resident.

The store opens at 8 a.m. and items are also being sold online.
