CHICAGO (WLS) -- Former Mayor Richard M. Daley was honored with a community humanitarian award on Saturday.
The award was presented at Olive Harvey College as part of the 20th annual Christmas in the Wards toy giveaway.

The charity collected donations of more than 1,000 toys and gifts. Founder Larry Huggins distributed the toys to families from some of the city's most impoverished neighborhoods.
