-The tower out front was inspired by the Powell Library Building at UCLA.

-1st High School to offer Automotive in the high school environment



-First TRI-M Music Society was formed in 1936 called Maine Music Masters

-WMTH-FM is the longest student-operated radio station with the first broadcast of a basketball game in the fieldhouse in December 1959. The student sportscaster was Harrison Ford.
