The Tony award-winning Broadway musical "Hamilton" is becoming available for the first time in 4K UHD Blu-ray as part of a Collector's Edition releasing on June 16. After the Broadway premiere almost 11 years ago, the new release offers the highest quality show recording yet, alongside never-before-seen features.
An all-new documentary "Spark into a Flame: Hamilton & Hip-Hop" gives a closer look at how the Broadway sensation's hip-hop roots inspired the soundtrack, and "The Hamilton Mixtape" that reimagined the show's familiar beats. The documentary features the voices of "Hamilton" writer, performer and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, along with many of the music icons featured on the mixtape like Busta Rhymes, Nas, Questlove, Common and more.
The Collector's Edition also includes a sing-along version of the musical, the short featurette "Reuniting the Revolution," and exclusive memorabilia. Inside is a fabric poster, a set of collectible art cards, and a booklet of "Alexander Hamilton" lyrics and piano sheet music.
