Libertyville board votes to fire middle school teacher accused of using AI to create child porn

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WLS) -- A north suburban middle teacher has been fired after allegedly using artificial intelligence to create child pornography.

The Libertyville District 70 Board of Education voted to fire Marshall Sheffer on Tuesday night.



Sheffer was a teacher at Highland Middle School.

Police arrested Sheffer earlier this month.



He faces multiple counts of child pornography.
