Human remains found in vehicle pulled from pond in Hodgkins, officials say

HODGKINS, Ill. (WLS) -- Human remains were found in a car that was pulled from a pond Saturday in the southwest suburbs.

The discovery was made near Joliet Road and East Avenue in Hodgkins, Illinois.



The Cook County Medical Examiner is working to identity a body found in the car.

A scuba diving team that investigates cold cases made the discovery, but it's unclear what led them to the pond.
