SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- Illinois lawmakers are coming back from recess with a tasty decision on the menu.

The question: What should be the official state sandwich?



A bill to make the Italian beef Illinois' official sandwich is now headed to the full House.

It would replace the Horseshoe, a meat patty on toast, topped with fries and smothered in cheese sauce.
