P. Scott Neville Jr. sworn in as new Illinois Supreme Court chief justice

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Illinois Supreme Court has a new chief justice.

Justice P. Scott Neville Jr. was sworn in Friday as the 123rd chief justice of the state's high court.



His swearing in ceremony was held at Apostolic Faith Church in Chicago.

The justice's three-year term begins Saturday.



He was appointed to the Illinois Supreme Court in 2018.
