A new plaque was placed at Insight Hospital and Medical Center in Bronzeville.
The hospital is the steward of the former Mercy Hospital, where then Robert Prevost, was born.
On Monday, a ceremony was held to dedicate the new plaque, which is mounted at the current hospital's main entrance.
Sept. 14 marked the pope's 70th birthday.
