CHICAGO (WLS) -- A portion of South Lake Shore Drive will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday night to midday Saturday for construction.
Northbound lanes will be closed between East 39th Street and the I-55 interchange, while southbound lanes will be closed between East 31st Street to East 39th Street.

Closures will begin at 8 p.m. Friday and last until noon on Saturday. Detours will be posted in the areas.
Crews will complete construction on the new pedestrian bridge at 35th Street.
