Large fire sends plumes of smoke into air in LaSalle, video shows

LASALLE, Ill. (WLS) -- A large fire broke out Friday at a store that sells batteries in LaSalle, Illinois, sending big plumes of smoke into the air, video showed.



The fire started at the Batteries and Things store near 24th and Malcolm Avenue in LaSalle, officials said.

A shelter-in-place order was lifted at about 10:40 p.m.

Fire department officials said Illinois EPA Emergency Response Personnel confirmed the air quality was within the normal limits.



All emergency responders cleared the scene by 1 a.m.

No further information about the fire was available.
