Man stabbed near CTA Blue Line station in Lawndale, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was stabbed near a West Side CTA station on Friday night, Chicago police said.

Police said the stabbing happened near the Pulaski CTA Blue Line station in the city's Lawndale neighborhood around 9:30 p.m.



Someone approached a 28-year-old man and started arguing with him, police said. The argument became physical, and the suspect stabbed the 28-year-old in the body.

The victim was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital in good condition. No other injuries were reported.



The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Area Four detectives are investigating. Police did not immediately provide further information.
