At about 11:54 p.m., multiple 911 calls alerted authorities to a fire in the 2900-block of Enoch Avenue and firefighters arrived to find the residence fully-engulfed in flames.
It was a lengthy operation, crews said, chasing hot spots with very windy condition, and the building was unstable.
The Zion fire chief said they found three people inside the home, who did not survive.
Neighbors said they heard a loud boom that what woke them up and then, they saw the blaze.
A woman who was in the building was transported to a hospital in unknown condition. All other occupants of the building were accounted for, fire officials said.
Fire crews are still investigating the cause.
