Man found shot to death in Little Village, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was found shot to death on Chicago's Southwest Side on Friday evening, police said.

Police said officers responded to a call about a person shot near South Hamlin Avenue and West 30th Street in the city's Little Village neighborhood just before 9 p.m.



There, officers found an unresponsive 33-year-old man on the ground. Police said he had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

The victim was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.



Area Four detectives are investigating.

Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
