On Wednesday police received a report that a student said they were approached by an unknown person who asked the student to get in their vehicle.
After seeing video footage and audio recordings, police said there was no attempted luring.
Police said the alleged vehicle was in the area at the time, however, the driver never said anything.
"The City shares information about active investigations as appropriate to help residents understand potential safety issues and make informed decisions for themselves and their families. Fortunately, the investigation determined there was no risk to the student in this case," a police spokesperson said. "This incident is a good reminder to talk with children about staying safe by reporting uncomfortable situations, helping them to understand the steps that trusted adults like their parents and police officers will take to keep them safe."
