CPD said it happened in the 2800-Block of Devon Avenue on Friday at about 1:58 p.m.
A 68-year-old man was found with "blunt force trauma to the body."
He was rushed to St. Francis Hospital in serious condition, where he later died.
No other information was released.
CPD Area Three detectives are investigating.
