MANHATTAN, Ill. (WLS) -- Changes are coming to a dangerous intersection in Manhattan, Illinois after residents spoke up.

State and East North streets will be converted into a three-way stop.

Residents reached out to the town asking for the change following the death of 13-year-old Chance Hunnicutt.

Police say he was hit by a semi while biking with his twin brother and friends at that intersection last month.

The mayor of Manhattan says more traffic studies and improvements are already in the works.
