The facility is located at 7001 Vollmer Road.
A spokesperson said an Amazon employee got into an argument with a suspect in the parking at the facility and the suspect shot and killed the employee.
The victim has been identified to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as 26-year-old Dylan Perkins.
No one is in custody. The facility is locked down and there is not an immediate threat to the area, the spokesperson said.
