'Mayor of Little Italy' Oscar D'Angelo dies

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The man known as the unofficial mayor of Chicago's Little Italy neighborhood has died.

Oscar D'Angelo was 84 years old.

He spent his entire life in Little Italy and was credited with helping make major changes to the neighborhood.

D'Angelo also worked as a lobbyist and was frequently seen at City Hall.

A wake is planned for Friday and will be followed by a funeral on Saturday.
