More than a dozen catalytic converters stolen from Michigan City school buses, forcing e-learning

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (WLS) -- Schools in Michigan City, Indiana were closed on Tuesday after more than a dozen school buses were vandalized.

The district says catalytic converters were stolen from at least 20 buses in the schools' garage.



A bus driver noticed the problem when starting one of the early routes.

Students and teachers used e-learning on Tuesday.



There is no word yet on the plan for students on Wednesday.
