OAK PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- Oak Park River Forest High School has removed the exterior doors of most of its bathrooms.

The school says this was done to help stop students from doing such things as vaping, skipping class and fighting.

A spokesperson compares it to bathrooms you see at airports where there are no entrance doors.

None of the stall doors were removed.

That spokesperson also says, "The decision to remove the exterior doors of most bathrooms at the school was based on an evidence based practice in architecture called crime prevention through environmental design."
