The crash occurred at around midnight in the 3600-block of North Pulaski Road.
Police said a 23-year-old man driving a motorcycle ran a red light and struck a black sedan going westbound onto Addison Street.
The motorcycle driver was transported to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
The driver of the sedan fled the scene and the motorcycle driver was issued with four citations.
