CHICAGO (WLS) -- Eli's Cheesecake is slicing into its 45th anniversary with sweet generosity.
On Wednesday, National Cheesecake Day, the Chicago-born bakery will dish out free slices across the city from the DuSable Museum, to Seneca Park, to the Chicago History Museum.
And if you swing by Eli's Café on the Northwest Side, you can grab a slice for just 45 cents, one sweet deal for 45 delicious years.
DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center (740 E 56th Pl), 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
Eli M. Schulman Playground at Seneca Park (220 E Chicago Ave), 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
Chicago History Museum (1601 N Clark St), 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Eli's says they will also be reintroducing The Cheesecake Sunday, a chocolate cheesecake with "scoops" of strawberry and banana cheesecake.
