She was critically injured with serious and disfiguring burns to her face, chest and torso. Bond said she has had multiple skin grafts and surgery and will need more.

The lawsuit claims a worker threw alcohol on a fire, causing serious injuries.

The incident was captured on video by a security camera.

The fire started at a food station to roast marshmallows for s'mores at a private event, according to the complaint filed by Cavanagh Sorich Law Group.

People were gathered around the station, attorneys say, and that's when a restaurant employee poured some combustible accelerant on the open flame, causing an immediate and dangerous "flashover."

Flames shot into the air and set some of the plaintiffs on fire.

Attorneys allege the restaurant's negligence caused the fire, filing four lawsuits on behalf of five plaintiffs Wednesday.

ABC7 Chicago reached out to Maverick Hotels and Restaurants for a comment but has yet to hear back.

At the time of the incident, Maverick Hotels and Restaurants said in a statement, "Our hearts are with the three individuals injured last night and we are staying closely connected to their status. As this is an active investigation, we are unable to provide specifics at this time. We are immensely grateful for the quick response of Emergency Medical Services, Chicago Police Department, Management and nearby guests.
