New 'Avengers: Doomsday' trailer drops at D23 featuring Robert Downey Jr. and more

The Avengers assembled again at D23.

A new trailer for the highly anticipated "Avengers: Doomsday" was unveiled on Friday at the D23 Disney Entertainment Showcase.



The special look at the 39th Marvel Cinematic Universe movie was revealed onstage by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige as well as actors Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell.

It focuses on supervillain Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom, played by Downey.

According to Marvel, "Avengers: Doomsday" tells the story of heroes from three universes who are, "set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they've ever encountered."



In addition to Downey Jr., Evans and Atwell, the film also stars Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Channing Tatum, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Joseph Quinn, Sebastian Stan, Kathryn Newton, Alan Cumming, Tom Hiddleston and more.

"Avengers: Doomsday" hits theaters on Dec. 18, and tickets are on sale now.

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is the company's biennial exposition, where it previews upcoming movies, shows, experiences and products, in addition to honoring its history.



This year's event is taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center from Friday to Sunday.
