BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (WLS) -- A show of unity in the southwest suburbs as community leaders unveiled a new "Welcome to Little Palestine" sign in Bridgeview.

Organizers say they received hateful messages tied to the first unveiling. However, they say they are moving forward with added security, turning this into a moment of resilience, and pride.

The sign celebrates a corridor of more than 200 Arab-owned businesses stretching from Bridgeview to Worth.

The second sign was unveiled at Westfield Plaza on 79th Street.

The second sign was unveiled at Westfield Plaza on 87th Street.

"This unveiling is more than a sign-it is a declaration of who we are," said Rush Darwish, president of the Arab American Business and Professional Association. "In the face of hate, our community is choosing unity, pride, and progress. Little Palestine stands as a symbol of resilience, culture, and economic strength, and we will continue to move forward together."

Earlier this month, the first sign was unveiled at 83rd Street and Harlem Avenue.
