Newsviews: Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Supreme Court passed a historic decision on gay marriage this week, declaring that same-sex couples have the right to marry in all 50 states.

Same-sex marriage is already legal in 36 states - including Illinois - and the District of Columbia. The ruling extends that right to people living in the remaining 14 states.
