Perfect Bar recalls some products amid salmonella risk

The Perfect Bar may not be living up to its name, as it could possibly be contaminated with salmonella, the company announced.

After testing, the makers have issued a nationwide recall of the peanut butter and cranberry crunch flavors.

Company officials said the affected products include the following lot numbers and expiration dates:

• 02814 and 02814V; expiration date 9/2/15


• 02914V; expiration date 9/1/2015


• 03714V; expiration date 8/24/15

People are being urged to throw them away immediately and call the company for a refund or replacement.
