CHICAGO (WLS) -- A second piping plover chick on Montrose Beach has died.
Officials say that Tweedy passed away. They say hazardous weather conditions may have played a role in the baby bird's death.
Last week, Mavis died. Four chicks were born last month.
The piping plover family frequently spends time at the beach during the summer months.
