Police search for suspect who killed woman in Chatham hit-and-run

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are searching for a man who killed a woman Saturday night in a hit-and-run. The woman was crossing the street when she was struck in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood, police said.

Dominique Wilbourne, 36, of the 8100-block of South Drexel Avenue was crossing the street in the 8200-block of Cottage Grove Avenue around 8:27 p.m. when a two-door white sedan travelling southbound struck her. The car fled the scene, police said.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect and his car.



Wilbourne was transported to Christ Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

No one is in custody, police are investigating.
