CHICAGO (WLS) -- A teenager was among two people hospitalized after a chain-reaction crash damaged a North Side restaurant on Friday night, Chicago police said.

Police said the crash happened around 9:50 p.m. in the city's Ravenswood neighborhood.

A 34-year-old man was driving a blue-colored BMW southbound when he struck a silver Honda, which was facing northbound, police said.

The BMW then slammed into Quick Bite Carry Outs on Western Avenue.

The BMW's driver was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where he is stable.

A 17-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the BMW, was taken to Swedish Hospital, where she is stable.

The Honda's driver, a 25-year-old man, refused medical treatment.

The restaurant's owner says he has his work cut out for him.

"Both times, destroyed. Completely destroyed," Tom Athanasakos said.

No citations are pending.

Police did not immediately provide further information.
