The Better Business Bureau has a new warning about scammers now targeting people who've already been scammed, promising to get their money back... for a price.
You may lose money in a fake investment or sweepstakes scam and weeks later, someone calls claiming they can recover your funds, if you pay "processing" or "legal" fees.
Once you pay, they disappear and you have been scammed again!
The BBB says these con-artists often buy victim lists on the dark web.
Experts say ignore anyone promising a refund or asking you for money up front.
Bottom line: Never pay to get your money back.
