Bus driver, aide accused of injuring child in Hammond, Indiana: police

HAMMOND, Ind. (WLS) -- A bus driver and an aide in Hammond, Indiana are accused of injuring a child.

Hammond police said both of the accused are school employees.



The driver is an 85-year-old woman, and the aide is a 63-year-old woman.

What happened was not immediately clear, but police say the charges in connection with the case stem from allegations related to the battery of a child.



Authorities did not immediately provide further information.
