CHICAGO (WLS) -- Shoreline Sightseeing operates Chicago's largest touring fleet, each year carrying thousands of visitors across Chicago's waterways aboard its extensive fleet of cruise boats, charters and water taxis.

In celebration of 75 years in business, the family-owned tour boat company has extended their popular architecture river tours from 60 minutes to 75 minutes.

Shoreline Sightseeing began with one vessel offering Lake Michigan boat tours showcasing Chicago's iconic skyline. In 1999, Shoreline began offering architecture cruises, which quickly became the company's most popular and well-known cruise on the Chicago River.

Shoreline's architecture river tours provide an insider's glimpse into the buildings and engineering that made Chicago famous, including: Tribune Tower, Wrigley Building, Trump Tower, Willis Tower, Marina City and more.

Set on the Chicago River, these 75-minute, narrated tours show off the great architecture of Chicago to locals and visitors from all over the world. Passengers are provided with a unique perspective of the city from Shoreline's state-of-the-art tour vessels as they listen to knowledgeable and entertaining docents tell the story of how Chicago rose from the Great Fire of 1871 to become the birthplace of the skyscraper and modern American architecture.

Take the tour after dark to experience the crowd-pleasing views of Chicago's historic skyscrapers illuminated at night.
