Small plane makes emergency landing in Morris, appears to crash into trees

MORRIS, Ill. (WLS) -- There was a close call for the pilot of a small plane Friday in Morris, Illinois.

It clipped a tree and landed in a field near the Morris Airport, 60 miles southwest of Chicago, officials said.



An employee of the airport told ABC7 it happened as the plane was coming in for a landing.

The pilot was the only person on board. He was not hurt.



Chopper 7 was over the scene, where the plane appeared to be crashed into a line of trees near a field.
