Train strikes pedestrian, service resumes in Gary, IN: South Shore Line

GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- A pedestrian was hit by a train in Northwest Indiana on Thursday morning, according to South Shore Line.



The transit agency posted an alert for the Gary station at 6:10 a.m. saying all trains were stopped.

By 8 a.m., all services were resumed with delays.

Weekday Westbound trains #110, #16, #118, #120 has delays from 30 minutes to an hour.



Weekday Eastbound train #405 was delayed about 30 to 40 minutes.

The condition of the pedestrian is unknown.
